ENGINEER/RESEARCH ENGINEER (SOFTWARE APPLICATIONS)

Job Summary:
- Maintain existing and develop new software applications in support of project goals; interact effectively between various teams in order to develop applications which meet project requirements; laboratory testing, field testing, and troubleshooting.
Education/Experience:
- Requires a BS degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering with at least a 3.0 GPA and 0 - 2 years experience. Must have demonstrated programming experience with C, C++, or LabVIEW; must be willing to learn new programming languages as necessary; background/experience with PLC programming is desired; must have a basic understanding of sensors (pressure, load, displacement, torque, etc.) and laboratory instrumentation and equipment (i.e. oscilloscopes, digital multimeters and function generators.); basic understanding of signal conditioning, filtering, A/D converters, D/A converters and voltage regulation is desired; LabVIEW Developer Certification a plus; must be able to interact effectively between various teams; must be able to work well both independently and on a team. Job related travel may be required. Valid/clear driver's license is required.
