ASSISTANT DIRECTOR-R&D (SPACE SYSTEMS)

Job Summary:
- Support the director in the management of a multidisciplinary team of engineers, program managers, and technicians specifically assembled to develop and deliver complex, high reliability space systems. Will be responsible for spaceflight communication systems and/or satellite program execution, technical performance, marketing, staff development and advanced research.
Education/Experience:
- Requires a BS degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with at least a 3.0 GPA. Masters a plus. Must have 15+ years experience as a program manager for spacecraft development programs and/or manager of spacecraft engineering group. Experience with radio systems for spaceflight and/or satellite development will be given preference. Demonstrated project management, technical team leadership and customer relationship development is required; either extensive spacecraft or software defined radio design and development experience is required; embedded system software or ACS experience is a plus. A valid/clear driver's license is required.
