ANALYST/RESEARCH ANALYST (SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT) Job code: 15-01097*


Job Summary:

    Work on small teams to develop and deploy Java-web-database applications for NASA/ESA space missions and project management systems; design other software programs as required to support space missions, space science requirements, and other requirements; participate in the software engineering process (requirements, design, integrate, test, document); communicate effectively with a multi-disciplinary team of computer scientists, scientists, and engineers; occasional travel to client sites; support miscellaneous software (e.g., web pages, GUI development, installations, simple research, etc.).

Education/Experience:

    Requires a BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Mathematics degree with at least a 3.5 GPA. Must have 1-3 years of experience in software engineering. Must have experience with Java JSP, Servlet, SQL (Oracle and MySQL), HTML, CSS, and JavaScript; must work well in a team or independently; must have excellent software testing skills; must have good communication skills; experience with Linux, Solaris, Apache, Tomcat a plus. A valid/clear driver's license is required.
