Job Summary:

    Provide test cell and project engineering support to advanced engine research team. Establish and maintain working relationships with clients and department staff to accomplish project objectives. Apply technical knowledge in the development of innovative solutions to project problems. Provide advanced expertise to the expansion of laboratory capabilities through the application of knowledge and skills.

Education/Experience:

    Must have a Master’s Degree, or foreign equivalent, in Mechanical Engineering. Must have six months experience in the job offered or six months of experience in automotive engineering/emissions. Will accept six months of internships in lieu of six months of experience. Must have experience or knowledge of automotive technology and/or combustion science; engines, combustion-science, exhaust emission measurement procedures, and emission analyzers; data acquisition and engine controls, and working in an engine test cell environment. Experience or internship experience need not be gained post Master’s Degree. Any suitable combination of education, training, or experience will be accepted.
