RESEARCH SCIENTIST

Job Summary:
- Analyze infrared imaging of the icy satellites of Saturn. Participate in science-team meetings for the Cassini mission. Contribute to or independently write technical reports, proposals, and technical presentations. Develop research program as Principal Investigator and work as part of the extended Cassini science team.
Education/Experience:
- Must have a Ph.D. or foreign equivalent, in Physics, Geology, Space Science, or related area. Must have one year of experience in the job offered or in the related occupation of Postdoctoral Researcher/Research Assistant. The one year of experience must include experience with computer modeling, data analysis, and thermal mapping applied to outer planetary systems. Experience need not be gained post Ph.D. Any suitable combination of education, training, or experience will be accepted.
