ENGINEER/RESEARCH ENGINEER (UNMANNED SYSTEMS)

Job Summary:
- Develop hardware/software solutions (including sensor fusion and control systems) for autonomous vehicle, mobile robotic, and intelligent vehicle systems; perform in all phases of the development lifecycle, including requirements definition, hardware/software/systems design, implementation, testing, and integration; initiate advanced research and development programs, interact with clients, and make technical presentations.
Education/Experience:
- Requires a BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science, with at least a 3.5 GPA. Masters or Ph.D. is preferred. MS and PhD candidates must have done their thesis/dissertation in an research area pertinent to autonomous vehicles or robotics. Candidates must have 1 - 7 years of academic project and/or industry experience in developing hardware/software for applications in autonomous vehicle and/or mobile robotic systems including, but not limited to, image/sensor processing for those applications. Linux and various PC operating systems experience required; C++ development experience required; ROS experience preferred. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well individually or as a member of a project team is required; excellent written and verbal communication skills are required; A valid/clear driver's license is required.
