Value stream mapping activities drove the wing tool solution to save process time.

The Process Improvement Engineering Section of the Manufacturing Systems Department at Southwest Research Institute (SwRI) provides diverse process design, analysis and business improvement services including lean manufacturing implementation, training and consulting, quality management, business process reengineering and information system deployment to manufacturing, maintenance and service operations. We strive to assist clients in achieving strategic goals, implementing improvement plans and reaching a higher level of performance.

As an independent organization, we facilitate the change process by assisting clients in building a cross-functional, team-based infrastructure aimed at eliminating bottlenecks in processes and helping them break barriers to effectively embrace change. Our proven methodologies help decrease lead times, increase throughput, reduce cost and improve quality.
