SwRI Geochemistry and Fluid Flow: Geoscience Services for the Oil and Gas Industry

Geochemistry and fluid flow services for the oil and gas industry are offered at Southwest Research Institute (SwRI), including the following:

  • Characterization of past and future chemical environments and influence on permeability and hydrocarbon production, using geochemical simulation of:

    • Aqueous speciation

    • Mineral equilibria / disequilibria

  • Physical chemistry and thermodynamics of high ionic strength solutions (e.g., brines) under high-temperature conditions

  • Multiphase fluid flow calculations in geologically complex formations

For more information about geochemistry and fluid flow and energy exploration and development services at SwRI or how you can contract with SwRI, please contact English Pearcy, Ph.D., at epearcy@swri.org or (210) 522-5540.
