SwRI Research Technologies - Chemical Demilitarization

- Chemical Demilitarization -

Chemical Demilitarization
the US Army is destroying its entire stockpile of chemical weapons. SwRI has been continually involved in the process for almost 20 years, operating laboratories at the demilitarization sites to monitor for chemical agent and analyze plant process streams. We also developed analytical methods to detect and quantify chemical agent and agent decomposition products in a wide variety of matrices, which has been especially valuable to closure phases of the demilitarization sites.
