SwRI SeaPort-e Program Quality Assurance

Because of the variety of clients, diversity in programs, and increasing involvement in business worldwide, SwRI has established an overall quality system based on the ISO 9001:2000 quality clauses and related quality management documents. This system, described in the SwRI Quality System Manual, consolidates all of the Institute quality systems under one quality management system. Several SwRI organizations are certified or accredited to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 17025, AS9100C, and in terms of software, CMM Level 5, as well as other quality standards or methodologies. Diverse Institute clients, including several government agencies, periodically audit the SwRI quality system. Annual evaluations are conducted internally by the Institute Quality Systems Department and by a committee composed of representatives of the technical divisions. This quality management system will be used to address the QA requirements of SeaPort-e task orders.
