Accelerated Exposure Research Program Summary

The Accelerated Exposure Facility was originally developed to provide mixed flowing gas testing in support of the Network Equipment Building Systems (NEBS) telecommunications program. While maintaining a high level of service to the NEBS program, the facility has expanded its scope of business to include projects for the military, household, and commercial products and the automotive industry.

SwRI has the capability to configure controlled environments to regulate temperature, humidity, and concentrations of corrosive gases, ozone, ultraviolet light, and salt spray among others according to a client’s needs. The flexible and expandable nature of SwRI’s programmable process control system allows virtually any combination of environmental conditions to be automated while being continuously monitored and recorded for reporting purposes.

Accelerated Exposure Laboratory Equipment

The SwRI Accelerated Exposure Facility has a full spectrum of specialized equipment including a process control system designed and built in-house, continuous monitoring of gas concentrations, specialized Plexiglas® chambers, calibrated temperature and humidity probes, and custom gas mixtures.
