It utilizes custom telecommunication hardware circuit cards to interface to the telephone lines under surveillance and custom software to organize and process the information. The system is capable of recording and processing voice and fax transmissions over analog telephone lines and recording and processing voice transmissions over digital telephone line.

In Division 7, we developed an Interference Simulator, a type of TEMPEST test equipment, for the National Security Agency (NSA). It is in use by the NSA, the National TEMPEST School, and other organizations in the TEMPEST community. The development effort included both hardware and software design and development.
