SwRI Research Technologies - Automotive fatigue and vibration analysis

- Automotive fatigue and vibration analysis -

Automotive fatigue and vibration analysis
Root cause analysis of failures and determination of various failure modes. Potential failure modes can be identified and quantified, and resulting failures can be predicted using failure modes and effects analysis (FMEA). Fatigue and vibration testing for a variety of engine and exhaust systems parts and components including: Automotive catalytic converters, Diesel catalyst systems, Diesel particulate filters (DPFs), Flow diverters and mixers, Turbochargers, Reductant delivery systems, Exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) valves and coolers, Cylinder heads, Rocker arms, Crankshafts, Connecting rods, Engine blocks, Intake manifolds, Exhaust manifolds, and Brackets. Vibration testing capabilities include simulation of extreme field environments.
