LifeLink
The LifeLink system is a mobile telemedicine system linking ambulances in SA with hospitals to accommodate video conferencing and sharing of data, etc. while the ambulance is at a scene or during transport. We developed and deployed this system under contract to Texas Dept. of Transportation as part of the TransGuide system. We developed the concepts for the LifeLink program at SwRI as and IRD project and proposed the project to TxDOT and USDOT. The system is being used for a number of advanced telemedicine technology research projects.
