The Advanced Fluids for Electrified Vehicles (AFEV) Consortium kick-off meeting will take place on May 18, 8:00 am-12:00 pm U.S. central standard time (CST).

Please note that you are not required to have already signed an AFEV contract, or even to have intent to sign a contract to join this meeting. However, you will not be able to make deciding votes without a signed contract.

Program Details

This consortium will focus on advancing understanding of the unique requirements of electrified powertrain lubricants. As electrified vehicles continue to develop outside the envelope of conventional powertrains, a better understanding of critical performance mechanisms and evaluation methods is needed to ensure proper fluid selection for each unique application.

As next generation vehicles look to push speeds and power levels ever higher, it is critical to understand the role the lubricant plays in protecting hardware and delivering desired performance. To choose the best fluid, relevant methods must be available to allow for accurate development and comparison. Critical fluid performance metrics include durability, oxidation control, aeration, heat transfer, material compatibility, electrical conductivity, efficiency, and more.  All must be considered as the industry looks to provide fluid solutions for electrified vehicles into the next generation.

Registration is required.
