SwRI will be exhibiting at the EPRI Advanced Nondestructive Evaluation (NDE) Meeting, booth no. 311.

Guided Wave Simulation: Visitors can experience the process and learn the capabilities of a SwRI-developed guided wave inspection system for pipeline structures.  Our latest magnetostrictive-based, guided wave inspection system will be available in the booth for use on a pipeline mockup with anomalies representing notches, wall thinning, and pinhole flaws. Users can learn about this MsS v5 inspection systems as well as the compatible guided wave sensors.

SwRI, an independent, nonprofit research and development organization, has developed magnetostrictive sensor guided wave technology for a number of applications including inspecting and monitoring piping with temperatures up to 500° C; automated omnidirectional scanning of tank walls and tank bottoms; and guided wave testing of buried anchor rods, steel ropes, heat exchanger tubes, and aircraft structures. SwRI also has developed remote field eddy current technology for non-piggable small diameter pipes. We developed and support the multi-channel Enhanced Data Acquisition System (EDAS) that can be used for numerous specialized ultrasonic inspection technologies.
