Free Webinar: Modeling Uncertain Variables

Join us Tuesday, October 13, 2020, at 12:00 p.m.–1:00 p.m. (U.S. Central Time)

Host: John McFarland

This is the first webinar in a series on probabilistic methods for uncertainty quantification in engineering applications.  After providing a brief introduction to and motivation for probabilistic analysis, this session will focus on a core concept underlying all probabilistic assessments: random variables.  We will review the theory of PDF’s and CDF’s, discuss commonly used probability distribution models, and cover some of the tools and techniques that are used for fitting probability distributions in practice.
