Join us Tuesday, November 10, 2020, at 12:00 p.m.–1:00 p.m. (U.S. Central Time)

Host: Erin DeCarlo

In the context of modeling and simulation, sensitivity analysis is closely related to uncertainty quantification.  Variations in model inputs lead to variation in model output, but what is the nature of the influence of individual model inputs, and which particular inputs demand the most attention? This webinar will explore sensitivity analysis techniques that are commonly used to better understand the relationship between model inputs and outputs. After reviewing one-variable-at-a-time approaches, we will take a closer look at global sensitivity analysis using variance decomposition. We will cover the key concepts behind variance decomposition with a focus on interpretation of results.
