Southwest Research Institute (SwRI) will be attending the AOC International Symposium & Convention, Dec. 11-13, in National Harbor, Maryland. When we say we're solving today’s problems with tomorrow’s technology, we mean it. Here’s a preview the technologies and people making SwRI home to the future of electronic warfare (EW) and Sensor Open System Architecture (SOSA™) aligned solutions.
Advanced Electronic Warfare Solutions – Get to know the team that is developing award-winning EW solutions, including:
- Sparta Electronic Warfare Advanced Test System – SPARTA, or System Performance and Real-time Analysis, is an award-winning advanced tool that provides automated data analysis during testing and development of Electronic Attack (EA) systems.
- JUPITER Advanced EW System – Government-owned, platform agnostic, SOSA and Big-Iron aligned, with adaptive and cognitive extensions. JUPITER provides an Electronic Attack/Support solutions set. JUPITER also mitigates Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and material Shortages (DMSMS) while enhancing effectiveness of EW systems.
- Heterogeneous Open Computing Architecture (HOCA) – This is a standardized approach for vendor-agnostic unifying programming and resource management/allocation to different compute modules in electronic warfare. This allows for more rapid reprograming across systems from various vendors. HOCA utilizes open and common scripting languages such as C++ and Python to avoid proprietary technique description languages.
- Digital Ultra-Wideband Receiver (UWR) – SwRI has developed an adaptable, “continuously staring,” next-generation EW system capable of detecting advanced enemy radar signals. The system has already demonstrated an exceptionally high probability of intercepting signals in milliseconds with no false detections.
