Two critical parameters that influence corrosion of engineered structures are the time of wetness where the structure is immersed or covered by an aqueous film and the corrosive character of the environment in contact with the structure.
Corrosion SensorsEngineers at Southwest Research Institute (SwRI) have developed sensors that are suited to detect and characterize the presence of a conductive electrolyte.
For more information about sensors and corrosion monitoring, or how you can contract with SwRI, please contact Leonardo Caseres at lcaseres@swri.org or (210) 522-5538, or James F. Dante, at jdante@swri.org or (210) 522-5458.
