San Antonio — January 13, 2016 — WorldatWork announced that Southwest Research Institute (SwRI) has received a Work-Life 2016 Seal of Distinction. This marks SwRI’s third consecutive recognition from WorldatWork.

The Seal of Distinction recognizes 116 employers from around the world for their outstanding approach to employee engagement and their commitment to the well-being of their workforce. A variety of industries are represented including education, finance, government, health, law, and research and development. On March 9, 2016, a Gala Awards Dinner will be held at the WorldatWork 2016 Future of Work Forum in New Orleans to celebrate all Seal of Distinction honorees.

“We’re especially proud to win this honor for the third year in a row,” said Executive Vice President Walt Downing. “SwRI recognizes the value of employee engagement, community involvement, health and wellness, and work-life balance for the well-being of our workforce.”

WorldatWork has awarded the Work-Life Seal of Distinction since 2012. Applicants are evaluated in seven categories: caring for dependents, health and wellness, workplace flexibility, financial support for economic security, paid and unpaid time off, community involvement, and transforming organizational culture. WorldatWork is a nonprofit human resources association for professionals and organizations focused on total rewards strategies.
