SwRI will be exhibiting at the Hydrogen Technology North America, booth no. 534.

SwRI is a premier independent, nonprofit research and development organization. We offer multidisciplinary services leveraging advanced science and applied technologies across the hydrogen economy. Since 1947, we have provided solutions for some of the world’s most challenging scientific and engineering problems.

Wednesday, June 26

10:55 a.m. – 11:20 a.m.
Low Carbon Fuels and Propulsion
Presentation: “Materials Susceptibility to Hydrogen Embrittlement in Hydrogen Operations,” Dr. Elizabeth Trillo.

This presentation will breakdown material challenges related to the use of hydrogen in existing infrastructure and share guidelines and standards to help identify materials that are susceptible to hydrogen embrittlement.

11:40 a.m. – 12:25 p.m.
Fuel Cell Technology
Panel Discussion: “Comparison of Fuel Cells and ICE Powertrains in Heavy-Duty Mobility,” Ryan Williams, Graham Conway

This session will provide a techno-economic analysis of fuel cell and ICE powertrains in heavy-duty mobility applications, looking at the performance and reliability of each powertrain and the current policy and regulatory landscape.

2:50 p.m. – 3:35 p.m.
Panel Discussion: “Hydrogen as the Energy Nexus: Combining ZEV Fueling and Grid Support,” Angel Wileman

This panel discussion promises to be a comprehensive exploration of hydrogen refueling for FCEV, offering insights into its current state, future potential, and the challenges that lie ahead. Speakers will look at the nexus between fleet infrastructure and fuel cell grid power systems as well hydrogen purity. Finally, we will examine use cases from FCEVs currently being deployed.
