"Analysis of Gas Turbine Blade Fatigue Failures," Hector Delgado

The goal of root cause failure analysis (RCFA) is to identify the cause of failure to avoid recurrence. High cycle fatigue plays a major role in many failures and in some cases accounts for more mechanical failures than any other mechanism. We will present typical methodologies carried out to conduct failure analyses of gas turbine blade failures due to high cycle fatigue.
