SwRI will be exhibiting at the annual AOC Australia Convention.
Thursday, September 19
4:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.
Eureka Room
Track: EW Enablers
“SPARTA- Advance Test System for Electronic Warfare,” Nicole Perry
This session will discuss SPARTA, an advanced test system for Electronic Warfare that was developed under SwRI’s IR&D program by Finley Hicks and Jarrett Holcomb. Electromagnetic warfare (EW) systems require thorough and accurate test and evaluation (T&E) leading to complex, expensive, and timely test phases. As complexity of both the EW operation environment and EW capabilities grow, the need for improved test resources and better evaluation has increased. Designed to meet complex testing needs of EW, SPARTA can reduce lifecycle costs and improve testing accuracy during acquisition and sustainment phases.
Friday, September 20
11:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
Ballroom 2&3
Track: Cognitive EW and Artificial Intelligence
“Cognitive Detection and Tracking for Modern Threats,” David Brown
This session will explore the limitations of traditional EW approaches in complex RF environments. Modern approaches incorporating low-level AI/ML techniques to mitigate information entropy will be introduced. The session will close with an outline of where further research is needed.
