Free Webinar: Industrial Gas Turbine Combustion
Join us Wednesday, May 12, 2021, at 12:00 p.m.–1:00 p.m. (U.S. Central Time)
Host: Seth Cunningham
The combustor is one of the primary components of a gas turbine. Combustors are responsible for converting the chemical energy stored in a fuel into thermal energy which can then be extracted by the turbine. Combustors for industrial gas turbines are a carefully balanced designed to meet emissions criteria while maintaining operability range all while operating at temperature well in excess of their metal melting temperatures. This webinar will discuss combustion fundamentals, various combustor types common to industrial gas turbines, combustor emissions and emissions controls, liner and fuel injector designs, and materials used in combustor construction. In addition, there will be a discussion of future directions in combustor research applied to today’s changing and challenging energy markets.
