SwRI will be exhibiting at the 18th Greenhouse Gas Control Technologies (GHGT) Conference, booth no. 43.
Southwest Research Institute (SwRI) is an independent, nonprofit research and development organization that provides objective, multidisciplinary engineering and scientific services to government and industry clients worldwide, including translating greenhouse gas control concepts into deployable technologies.
SwRI combines expertise in reaction engineering, separations, process modeling, and pilot scale operations to advance CO2 capture, conversion, and utilization pathways. Capabilities span bench to pilot design and construction, thermodynamic and kinetic evaluation, process simulation and techno economic analysis, and lifecycle and emissions assessments. We work with post combustion, pre combustion, and direct air capture streams, developing integrated solutions that include solvent/solid sorbent systems, advanced membranes, and catalytic and thermochemical CO2 conversion.
Current conversion technologies for creating value from captured CO2 include CO2 to fuels and chemicals, mineralization and building materials, and advanced carbon materials such as graphene. By integrating capture, utilization, and systems analysis, we help clients reduce greenhouse gas emissions, de risk scale up, and improve the overall economics of greenhouse gas control technologies.
