Biomaterials & Scaffolds

Biomaterials incorporate many principles from materials science, chemistry, biology, mechanical engineering, and bioengineering. Our multidisciplinary team has extensive experience in synthesizing and applying biomaterials for applications such as scaffolds for tissue engineering and regeneration (bone, cartilage skin, tendon/ligament, etc.); nanoparticle for drug, gene, and vaccine delivery; coatings on medical devices; microcapsules; wound management; creating smart or responsive biomaterials; and surface modification and functionalization of biomaterials.
