Materials science is a very specialized field that many who are focused on mechanical design or areas of machine and product development do not have sufficient knowledge or interest in. This Webinar will focus on Materials science in terms of what is important for a mechanical designer, especially in how it impacts design and material selection for specific components. We will look into high level material properties that should be considered and evaluated during the design and procurement process, and also dive into some simple tradeoffs that should be considered.
