Free Webinar: Thermal Transient Modeling and Analysis

Join us Wednesday, January 24, 2024, at 12:00 p.m.–1:00 p.m. (U.S. Central Time)

Host: John Klaerner

With the current need for more efficient and long-life power cycles to meet daily grid demand needs due to more reliance on renewable energies, there is a greater interest to accurately model thermal transients in all high temperature components, whether it is piping, turbine cases, turbine rotors, or heat exchangers. Thermal stresses severely affect the design life of components which are limited by peak fatigue stresses. Accurately modeling the thermal transient behavior is critical to ensuring that life requirements are met. This webinar will take a look at setting up complicated thermal transient models and how best to set them up to save computation time to allow for more iterations and then also final design verification. It will also focus on the post processing of thermal transient results and potential ways to save time for future analysis.
