Specialized Testing

Nonstandard testing includes using non-traditional or methods that are usually highly specialized.  Methods include determining of chemicals of interest produced from biomass and biofuels feedstocks and products.  SwRI provides analytical methods that can be developed for shelf-life determination, hydrazine assays, biodegradation, catalyst testing, wax deposition testing of additives at high pressure, and chemical analysis of unconventional samples of unknown chemical composition.

Hydraulic fracturing, “fracking” assessment and development studies of well additives, cause and remediation well of plugs, high molecular weight wax and asphaltene materials studies, corrosion, oil characterization, site identification and assessment of spills, and evaluation of H2S scavenger materials.
