Free Webinar: Selecting a Language to Update Engineering Models to the Modern Era

Join us Wednesday, February 21, 2024, at 12:00 p.m.–1:00 p.m. (U.S. Central Time)

Host: Jarred Deeley

As maintaining legacy engineering models becomes more difficult, this presentation takes a look at what could replace Fortran to ease maintainability and improve readability. A simple benchmark compares a selection of languages to show what languages (C, Rust, and Python) could replace Fortran. The presentation makes the argument that old Fortran 90 models should be updated to a modern language such as Rust.
